About System Resets

Office Express maintains weekly, monthly, yearly and system grand totals.

The System automatically resets these totals to zero at the beginning of each week, month or year. The month and year resets can not be changed will execute.

Week Resets

You can change the day of the week you want to use as the start day of your week. By default, Office Express is set for Sunday as the starting day of the week. Depending on how you do your booking and payroll you might want to change the day of the week. You can access these totals through the Reports list on the Reports Page.

CHANGING THE DAY OF WEEK THE SYSTEM RESETS

1. from the Home page, click the Edit button in the Company Name box.
2. at the bottom of the dialog box that is display is a combo box next to the Reset DOW label. Select a day of week or you can select None to disable the week resets.
3. click OK.

Yearly Resets

Unlike the week and month resets, the yearly reset will also reschedule all the jobs for your customers for the new year.

The yearly reset will 

1. first print the Yearly Totals report
2. zero the yearly totals.
3. reschedule your customer jobs for the new year.

NOTE: How long the rescheduling process will take depends on the number of customers and the number of jobs scheduled for each customer. You can anticipate approx. 5 minutes for each 100 customers.
